RIP - I'm certain we'll all remember you every time we leave the asphalt and head up to the hills which beared your Handle here on Hunt-Wa...

I only knew Clock from his threads but sensed a brave and honorable man. I lost my best friend in Viet Nam and felt the same kick in the gut this am when I found out about Aaron. Here is a tribute to soldiers and famlies by 9 year old Rhema Marvanne.

I have had a tear in my eye ever since reading the very sad news this morning. I did not know him outside of talking with him on here. He has been a great member and I always valued his posts. He will be missed and again prayers sent to his family.
A true hero fighting for his country. Rest in peace Aaron.

I posted this in his other thread but I figured I would past it here as well. i want all to know.
I just talked to my younger brother who made some calls and this is what he told me.
Infantrymen nearby got into a firefight so Aaron and his stick buddy got spun up for a quick reaction force. As they were running across the flight line to get to there helicopter the FOB took 5 rounds indirect (rockets and mortars) aaron and his stick buddy didn't make it. One and a million shot. It is some comfort to know he died with his boots on running TO the fight and not laying in his tent or on the john or something.

Wow! Total disbelief here. Thank you for your service and sacrifice for our freedoms. Always sad to hear about casualties but it really hits home when its someone you know.
RIP to a true hero!
