Bullet loaded into arrowhead ?
« on: February 27, 2013, 02:41:31 PM »
Ok I was watching the tv today and saw a commercial where the guy loaded a 38/357 into an arrowhead and fired it from a compound and the thing fired when it hit the head of the wild hog. Are these things real or was I imagining things in the commercial?

Nope they exist! There were at the archery show...

Out of Lousiana for hog hunting!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I am not the smartest man on the planet, but that thing looks dangerous!  What happens if you miss, and the arrow ricochets and then hits something, and the bullet flies out going who knows where?  Is there enough of a "barrel" that the bullet just wont have any velocity?

They do look bad ass though!

Arnold used one in Predator.

Not very effective in that case.

Your spot on. No barrel, no velocity. Notice how they sound way different than a handgun. More like a 22 than a 357 sound. Just like in the movies when they throw a box of cartriges in a fire and bullets go flying. Thats a hoax also.
