Old freezer burned fish? I'll take it...
« on: April 12, 2013, 09:43:29 AM »
So....starting to think about the upcoming crab season. If anyone has any old freezer burned fish that you have been wanting to get rid of and are in the Snohomish County general area please keep me in mind....it makes good crab bait.

I'm in the same proverbial boat - I was saving all of my trimmings from the salmon last year for crabbing, but lost it all a few weeks ago when the freezer quit on me...

I forget now who it was, but an awesome member on here was offering shad last year to people.  I was going to pick some up but never had the chance to get down his way.

not trying to tell a man his business but if you get a chance to go dig some nasty ole horse clams they work flat awesome as well, ya just crack their shell with a hammer and stuff them in your bait boxes, it works awsome and you can also inject a couple with sardine oil and freeze them....awesome bait

Lots of things work well.  Squid is awesome, as is shad.  Hard to beat either of those 2.

Depends where, Area 7 is probably the weekend after July 4.  Don't know for sure though.

I usually make a shad run or two and when we hit it good I am always looking to get rid of some to people that crab.  I will post something if we end up with a bunch to give out this year.
