Bull finally shed his antlers
« on: April 12, 2013, 07:22:31 PM »
Well, the 5x8 bull I've been getting pictures of shed his antlers sometime between April 3rd and April 8th. The spike (or possibly two spikes) still had his antlers as of April 10th. I'll post the last few pictures I got of him and then the first one I got with him minus his antlers.

Here are pictures of the spike, but I'm now thinking it's two spikes. Look at the times on the pictures and where the elk is in the picture (the last two.)

Those are great pictures. You just need to go and find those drops.

I think it's 2 spikes. Same length but the curvature is somewhat different; even for the opposite anged photos. You do need to get down there and find those sheds. Great pics.

I'll be out looking for those sheds. That's two big bulls that have dropped their antlers now in this area. I'm hoping they're not too far from the camera location. I'll try to get out there tomorrow, just hoping for some decent weather.

I have nothing planned, but do you really want me to find them sheds before you do? lol

That first bull will be a stud when he gets a little more mass.
