Anyone hunted these units before? hows the hunting? Is there more wolves than elk? Any tips or info would be appreciated...will be hunting oct 10-17

I checked the area out in 2008 and almost ran a wolf over on the East Fork of the Crooked River. From what I'd heard there were a lot of wolves over there then, but that was before they opened a season on them.

That's the optimistic way of looking at it. You could also say that there must have been elk there.

You'd be better off going on a wolf hunt during the elk season and having an elk tag in your pocket also.
