Those get posted every now and again. With the arrow's long length, must be very difficult to imobilize it in place during the trip to the hospital.

Pulling it out =  :bdid:

Sometimes people will be shooting with say kids and they grab a arrow and draw back. The arrow is to short and pops out of the rest and off the shelf. Then they go to let down and the arrow kicks over on the let down and drives threw some meat  :yike: The other one is that someone trys to shoot a arrow that is cracked or a way under spined arrow and it snaps on the shot. That picture looks really clean and makes me think the arrow was whole and had a field tip on it to go threw so strait.

aaaa.... talked to a guy last season who's arrow broke and got him....  I bend/check my arrows often.   There is a company that makes a shooting glove with a kevlar patch .... been considering it.

That would be really bad if it were a broadhead instead of a field point.   :yike:

I think the story for that picture was that it was they used an arrow that was too short. When the guy drew back it dropped out of the rest, and when he let go, he got his hand pinned to the bow. I think that picture looks worse than the ones where a fractured carbon arrow explodes and goes through your hand, just because of the finger. There's no shortage of pretty gruesome looking archery accidents though.

An archer got killed a couple years back when he abruptly stopped during a stalk. His buddy accidentally ran into him with a nocked broad head.

Just because it's a bow and arrow doesn't make it any less dangerous than a gun.

call me crazy, but does the tension cable/string look loose to anyone else?
could the hand piercing be caused from a snap or derailing?
