Nice job! We think alike!!! I've done a few low res videos of the last few years. It's tough trying to focus on hunting and filming. Your videography was GREAT! My only suggestion would be to not let it be so staged (just my opinion). The viewers can tell when it's fake - I think you'll have more success if you can pull is off in a real setting.
Have fun with it! Good luck!
I agree, but this was Promotional video to get people excited for the upcoming seasons. We do have two kills on film and they are on our youtube page. I agree that it is easy to see what is set up, but we are trying to get people excited about us. I have a spring bear tag so that is our next challenge!
Yeah, I know how it goes... if you want some candid feedback, I would have passed on the full video based on this promo because it's very obvious the scenes were staged. For me, I'm not interested in seeing reenactments of a hunt - I want to see a real hunt, see the real expressions after the shot, see the real excitement that is busting out of the hunter. But, I know it's hard to capture all of this and still get a hunt in. I have some very boring videos because I wasn't able to do both. That's the point I think, it is a challenge to do both. And when you pull it off, it's amazing. There's always a need for some staged scenes, but producer is supposed to ensure that one cannot tell it's staged.
I applaud you guys! I'm investing in new camera gear to put these short videos together just for fun and memories. Your editing is FANTASTIC and will only get better with each practice film. I'm no expert - so just take my opinion as just that, opinion. Looking forward to seeing what you guys can turn out!
