http://www.naturalnews.com/039897_civil_war_battle_lines_gun_manufacturers.html

(NaturalNews) A civil war looks likely to break out in America, and it will pit gun rights advocates (people who love liberty) against gun control zealots (people who hate freedom and love tyranny). The battle lines are being drawn right now as gun manufacturers are leaving anti-Constitution states like Connecticut and Colorado and relocating to pro-Constitution states like Texas and Arizona.

Why does this matter? Because in effect, the anti-Constitution states are disarming themselves by expatriating weapons manufacturers. Thus, they are eliminating their own weapons infrastructure and leaving themselves relatively defenseless should a civil war occur.

This is a pretty hard core article, but what i like about it is how many of these states that are moving away from freedom are loosing in many ways... The old addage of "In america ther is a gun behind every blade of grass" may soon only be in certain parts of the US.

That is the dumbest thing I've heard concerning the recent gun control measures.

funny, WA wasnt on either the pro or anti lists...

If that situation DID occur, which is unlikely, those "disarmed" states would likely get help from a bunch of AIDS patients in light blue uniforms....also known as UN troops.

I read that whole article twice through with the biggest smile on my face. That was one of the stupidest things I have ever read. The earnestness is what really set it apart though. His insistence that his political opponents were enemy combatants, traitors, and “lovers of tyranny” (my favorite) just turned the stupid up to 11 and broke the knob off. The bit in the end about homeschooling was the cherry on the sundae though.

I’m going to have to start following his twitter feed.

Also consider that population shift trends have more people moving to the south and southwest, and leaving the Midwest and northeast.  So, with the population will go the redistricting for the House.  More house votes controlled by gun friendlier states that will be housing the gun industry.  The assumption being that the states don't start getting too liberal....like Washington has been from the influx of transplants.

It is pretty funny how almost eager this guy was for a civil war, 99% of most people woudl want anything but one. Mabe I should find a more toned down article that talks about the ability of people to flee goverment overreach by moving to a differtn state.... I'm glad it made a few of you guys  :chuckle:

Not as far-fetched as you think.  A few of the comments are funny, but most of it sounds true.  I've lived long enough to see the change in the country.  Most of you haven't.

What was it about the homeschooling comment that put the cherry on the sundae?

What was it about the homeschooling comment that put the cherry on the sundae?

I went to several small, Christian schools from grade 4-12. A lot of home schooled kids came and went during that time and I now consider it one of the meanest things you can possibly do to your kid. First off, some of them were VERY book smart (as is the stereotype). However, some of them were dumb a sticks and didn’t know anything. Almost ALL had huge problems socializing and relating to other kids, having spent their developmental years in their weird family microcosm. Generally what would happen is the boys would get really rude as a defense mechanism, and the girls would either get really shy or in some cases, dangerously promiscuous, being unused to any male attention and having zero skills in dealing with it. I felt bad for them.

Anyway, being the close knit, tiny schools that they were, all the families knew each other and most of the Home School parents were total whack jobs. Weird anti-government types (it was the Clinton years), NWO conspiracy nuts, almost open racists, creepy cultists (with optional sexual abuse package), and a generous smattering of good old fashioned idiots. We car pooled with one family who got mad at me for insisting that exoplanets existed and “was this close” to pulling her kids from the school because she thought that DNA didn’t really exist and was a lie meant to propagate the fallacy of evolution. Oh yeah, and drums were designed to put you into a trance so the devil would have an easier time getting into your soul.  Even Christian rock was pure uncut evil. She made us listen to these grainy tapes of organ music and Church choirs. Not even cool Church music like the monks chanting and those haunting hymns from the early middle ages.

My point being, when you are so fringe that even our hyper-conservative little Christian schools were too liberal for you, the problem is not society, it’s you. It’s people who are terrified of the world passing it on to their kids, who will inevitably suffer because of it. So when I read this article from this guy who was busting his zipper at the thought of a civil war and then threw in the bit about home schooling, I thought “Yup, that figures.”

I assume since you took issue with my comment, you either home school or are thinking about it. In all seriousness, please consider the negatives. I’ll tell you a hundred stories if you want to hear them.

Yes, and it always struck me as funny that my grandparents, who were European Immigrants (legal) had a better knowledge of their Constitutional rights than the people born here.
