Rob Endsley and The Outdoor Line on 710 ESPN Seattle will be set up and covering the event on that Saturday morning, they will be broadcasting live from Bayside Marine from 0600-0800 hours.

Ok, I sent off my E-Mail to Randy. I'm honored to be a part of this.

My wife and I booked a room yesterday at Port Gardner Inn. We will be in Everett early on Friday to meet and greet some of the boats coming in. Don't know if we will get any fishing in or not. Dock time is still good time and a chance to meet all you wonderful folks. Just a reminder, Salmon for Soldiers has all of Guest Dock A reserved. That is 1000' of moorage. It is $1.00 a foot and comes with power. That is the best rate they would give.
For those of you staying at the Port Gardner Inn, let them know you are with Salmon for Soldiers and they will give you a corporate rate. I am trying for lower but have not gotten there yet. They only have 33 rooms and are expected to be at capacity on August 9th.
We attended the Wounded Veterans Fishing Program event yesterday at Riffe Lake. Danny Gabriel did a wonderful job putting that on. He will be joining us in Everett for our event. Danny has the Group Fishing Permit. Each warrior will receive a free punch card for the day! Thanks Danny!
Also spoke with Jeff Alexander from the Warrior Transition Unit. He will also be joining us along with 19 other warriors from JBLM! We are filling up.

Got some good news, got a raffle from a guy that out fishes 90% of most guides on the Big C during the Buoy 10 fishery.  He has a 25 foot Willies Raptor boat that is decked out.  He will offer the trip as an item to raffle off.  Working out the dates right, but looks like 19 Aug and would be for 4 Wounded Warriors.  But due to the boat being 100% open and non-movable seats the participants must be physically able, ready to ensure crappy weather and ability to enjoy excellent fishing.  If he was guiding this would be a atleast a $600 trip!!!!!!!  Randy, I will get you the information tomorrow or Tuesday and find out what the process is for this item to be entered into the raffle.

Thanks Carp for making this a sticky thread......

Email and phone call off to Randy.  Thanks for giving us an opportunity to give a little back to those who have given us so much!  That being said, Sven and I are looking forward to take 2-3 of these fine Americans out.

Welcome to the group of boats, this is going to be a fun day. Plus, a great time for some of us from the web site here to meet and put a face with the names. As Randy already said the Inn At Port Gardner will give us a pretty good rate for the event if you want to stay close by on Friday night.

Fish4Fun...

You will have to check out my thread in the fishing section for GoPro downrigger ideas. I've got some ideas and we will have working prototypes completed by the time of the event. If all goes well I'll  be happy to provide any footage of the fishing above and below the water to you for use as you see fit. I saw that you will have some boats equipped as well.

I still haven't come up with a team name.

H20- sounds like a pretty good name...  Like your ideal and where it is going with the down riggers stuff.  Got me thinking now for sure.  Let's see that prototype when complete.  I have been wanting to do something like that for a while to see a different view.  Would work great for Silvers at the shallower depths...

Speaking of Go-Pros.......we have an individual that will be professionally videotaping this event. He has a number of Go-Pros to place on some of the boats. He will be putting together a video to post on The Outdoor Line after the event. For those of you who have a Go-Pro, let me know and I can start a list so your footage can be incorporated into the video........How cool is all this?  8)
