I would be more than honored to fly that on my boat in his honor! We honor his service and know that he is guarding the gates of Heaven!  :yeah:
Hell yeah Randy. I think you knew him too, right? I think Drew's only got the 1 for his boat.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I may of missed it but what is the itinerary for saturday?
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I can't wait.  I am really excited about this!  One of my soldiers fishing with me will be flying in from Florida Friday afternoon, and we will be staying overnight on my boat at the dock.   Hope to meet some of you fine folks!

I am hoping to have some crab pots dropped and ready for him when he arrives.   Any suggestions on where to drop some pots?

Back to my first post - I'm not a great fisherman, and have never fished this area before.  I'm hoping you fellow huntwa member can offer up some solid advice so the 2 warriors going out with me will have a better chance at some action   :chuckle:

Thanks everyone!

Brian....best I can say is troll slow....very little angle on the cable...look for jumpers and people netting fish. I work gear from 30 to 150 based on the fish finder....pink and white you can't go wrong. For crabbing I'd use good fresh bait and dump them along the shore near where you are fishing. Along the shore south of Mukilteo look for a few places that have freshwater trickling in...some great crabbing can be found in those areas.

Thank you H2O!  I appreciate it.

When I go out fishing normally, I don't expect a whole lot except a good relaxing time on the water.  That way, at the end of the day, I'm not disappointed.    :chuckle:

Now when it comes to hunting elk... thats a whole other story

But for this trip, I want to yell ' FISH ON!!"   :chuckle:

Thanks again!

The tide is gonna be running going out when we fish on saturday.  i would start at humpy hollow and troll towards the shipwreck.  I would double stack lines on each downrigger (if you have enough licenses).  Put one at 60ft, then clip in the second and run it to 30ft.  So you'll have one at 90ft and one 30ft.

Troll slow for humpies

Plenty of places south of Mukilteo to drop the pots. Like H2O said.

Thanks Randy,

I think all of the boat skippers and mates are just as excited as the Soldiers to be there on Saturday.

For the boats that are traveling in on Friday be safe and plan on a fun Friday afternoon and evening, looking forward to a meet and greet on the dock

I would agree that most of us captains are also excited to give back a little bit to the soldiers.

I gotta finish getting boat stocked tonight.

Fished for about 3 hours this afternoon in the Ship wreck area. Had 2 good hit's but no fish to the boat. Fish checker said they saw 40 or so pinks today. Slow but they are around.
