Fall Bear
« on: April 18, 2013, 09:33:39 PM »
So I have a question for you guys, My brother is going to be coming out at the end of August and we are planning to spend a few days chasing some bears. I haven't hunted much outside of Kapowsin since I have been up here. I was thinking about heading to the Nooksack or Sauk, I was just wondering if you guys might have any opinions on which one has better access to bear country and which would make for a better all around trip. I have read the harvest reports and both seem to be pretty decent. Thanks for any inputs

Both are very good. I've put in a lot of miles in both and it's more luck of finding the bear than anything. I've gone  stretches in both without spotting a bear and then seen 3 or more in a day in the same spot. There are plenty in both units.
Take your kids into the outdoors. They are our future. Support conservation by joining and participating in future through NRA, SCI, RMEF, Wild Sheep or any of the other great organizations.

Thanks for the input, we are mainly just looking to have a good time, would love a chance to see a few though. I'm going to try and get in a few scouting trips, just trying to figure out a place to start. Thanks again
