Looks to be round!

Hey Rob I can tell ya that the pdeicles were real oval so the bases on theos e sheds should be also. Dont know if that helps or not.

I allready told him that Charlie and I have those peds burned into my mind!!! I told him the Bases and the peds are like a fingerprint ...

Yeah, they are like a fingerprint......that doesn't help much though when you don't have a finger to get a print from.

No one ever said for certain this is the same bull in fact I remember saying it is quite a coincidence that these were found right in the same area were his was killed. I'll tell you what you can draw a circle around them all you want but I saw them today and in person they look to be oval so what??? I'm not sure where you live BC but it looks like we may need your professional opinion to check them out for yourself and compare them to Rob's and the taxidermy pics to be sure! Oh yeah you can bring Miles and both your checkbooks too .... cause we'll need your money so we can do a DNA test to satisfy both of you!!!
Why is this so important to you guy's when it doesn't seem to bother Rob? If you go back at one point he even made mention of buying a pair of sheds to go with his cape so what's the big deal???
I could really give a rats a$$ if they are the same IMO he hunted both the bull and the sheds and he can do or speculate all he wants with them.

All I know is that I'd love to see the video of this one and "the one".  Seeing 50+ inch bulls is awesome.  This guy must have had a big flair with his antlers to hit the 55 inch mark, and would be cool to see.
BC nailed it as without the skull plate its all conjecture from here on out, especially with 5 bulls hanging out together, plus the other 3 no one probably knew about.  Makes a good story though and you scored a nice set of moose sheds in the process and a freezer full of meat.  At least with the video, Charlie can use it to accuratly depict the bull versus just throwing a set of sheds on a cape.  Maybe even get a still frame of the video mounted for the wall along with the mount.  Good coversation piece when the beer is flowing. or.....stack them in the garage with all the others.

Phool, You saw 3 bulls shed by the end of November? Man...I knew they shed early, but I never guesses that early. I will have to change my shedding strategy for them *censored*s......

Miles, I think you've made your point, just stringing it along and along and along and ALONG is just making an ass out of yourself.... :dunno: Fact is... no one knows for sure if its "the one" or not... period... bottom line.... who cares.. Its Phools...

Sounds like phool needs to go to his local landfill and do some diggin' for that skull! Because miles and BC really want to make sure these are the horns from his bull. :chuckle:

Seriously what is the big deal? I don't understand why people need to argue over things like this. :dunno:

wow, haven't checked on this thread in a day or two.  Too bad to see it turned into this.  Maybe I am not doing my detective work properly, but it sounds like exactly what I would have done.  Bull dropped his antlers.  I make sure it's a big bull and shoot him.  I go back in the spring where I shot him and see if I can find the sheds.  I find a matched set not far from where I shot the bull.  Looks like they fit.  Might be my bull, might not.  He's not getting them scored for P&Y for this exact reason.  I don't see why it's a big deal. :dunno:

...I DO see however why a lot of good hunters are hesitant to post stuff on the internet though...
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Uh...not to screw this thread up anymore than it is... but... Pope and Young doesn't score sheds....

I guess if I were going to be part of the inquisition... if you knew the bull shed within the day or so and you killed him right there... why not just pick the sheds up right there in November or early December instead of waiting till June?  Anyhow...thats just me mind thinkin... like I said, I could care less how, who, what, etc...

You are crackin me up Bone! :chuckle: I hope Miles is getting good $$!!!

He did look for them last fall Ernie, then the snow set in and they were covered up.  He's been back two or three times I believe.  I'm very happy for him, whether they are the sheds or not.  :)
