Phool just thought you would like to hear the final viewers results. The numbers are in and you blew right on by the OJ Simpson trial!!

OJ Trial? :dunno:

Well the posts are not done, there is more to the story ;)

More?? Let me guess you watched him knock his horns off and you have them. You are just messing with us now :chuckle:

We were going along a ridgeline when Mark asked me what all those birds were doing. I had seen several birds in the same spot several days in a row but never went to investigate. We put up our binos and there were crows swooping down to bug a hawk that was sitting on a branch on the ground. Mark says "that looks like a rack" so I grabbed the camera and we hiked over to it. There were dog tracks everywhere and the stench was nauseating. Before we went up I wanted to document the whole thing with pics so took the first with the intention of testing all of your perception. I got closer and closer until we were right on it, a nice little 4 point that had been rotting there for some time.

Loved reading every thread.  I recommend whoever draws a moose tag next year donate it to phool so we can enjoy this again next year!!

P.S.  I'm up for being blindfolded and taken in for a shed hunt.   :)

Mark (M-Ray), you were steadfast in your commitment to get it done and your constant positive outlook kept me from falling into depression and losing track of my goal and objective. Always there to cheer me up and keep me looking forward to what the next day might bring, your PMA was a big part of keeping me getting up every morning and hiking those mountains. Thanks again Brother, you are a rare hunting partner and a true friend.

You are very welcome my friend and congrats on an excellent hunt I am very proud of you ... but Rob I need to thank you for allowing me to take part in your hunt! The way our state is it may be as close as I ever come to moose hunting myself and I would do it again tomorrow for another 26 days if I had the chance ... I had the time of my life! I will never forget the great times with dear friends and the new friendships made, Thanks Joe and Jodi for welcoming us into your home I cant wait to come visit again. Thanks Adam for the location  :) Sorry that Shorty, Waid and Shawn couldn't make it too that would have been great to end it the same way as it started  :(. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement along the way if any of you have ever hunted that long you know its tiring to say the least and it gets easier to sleep in but I felt we owed it to you guy's that were watching to continue with the 5 and sometimes 4:30 alarms. Now who's gonna draw next year so I can do it again!  :) ... Oh it might be me!  ;)

What a waist.

No Charlie, I don't have the sheds, I really wish I could say I did. My butcher told me that on top of all the steaks I should expect at least 300# of burger :yike:

Unfrickin real man!  One hell of a hunt you guys.   WHAT an ironic ending.  Absolutely congratulations on your moose and with a bow.  Hot dang.  I am sorry about the sheds.  Yes it does happen.  Moose are the first to drop, but usually about Mid December.  I shed hunt alot over there, and do it alot.  Talk to Joe.  I know you've had a ton of serious offers already but if Joe wants to give yout he green light to talk to me about it, I'd help you get them.  Obviously I know the area fairly well.  I am proud of you for holding out and also for not busting a cow with a calf.  Good job Mray for being a damn good hunting partner and seeing it through the end with him.  We'll get you those sheds if you are serious about it.

P.S.  They are sharks around here with blood in the water if you aren't posting pics. LOL   (have to admit, I was dieing to hear how you did)  I was really pulling for you.

Can't wait to see who draws the tags next year.

Me too, I am hooked. I would imagine I have spent the most time hunting moose in this state from a personal bases, we figured 27 out of the 61 allotted, throw in a 9 day hunt in Montana right in the middle of it plus thanksgiving, didn't leave much time for anything else. Glad I have a very understandable family.

Be careful you might lose that bet.  I have been doing this every fall for a couple years...... :chuckle:   ever since I did that little tag draw thing.  Face it, you jsut spent ALOT of money.  Let me know when you are interested in travelling out of state for it.

Starting to apply in other states next year Bone, and I was talking about hunting for your own tag in the same year. Good news for the rest of you though, there are that many of us that you don't have to worry about out drawing next year. :chuckle:
