No Buckrun buck tags?
« on: April 19, 2013, 11:37:37 AM »
I was thumbing through the regs this morning and unless I'm overlooking it, Buckrun is not offering "Buck" tags this year, only antlerless. Unless I'm mistaken, his lands were enrolled into the WDWF program now and the last few years they drew something like 10 buck tags. Where did they go this year??? :dunno: I also noticed they are no longer advertising the raffle they were doing?

They were by raffle

You know what.....now that I think about it, your correct. Are they still not doing the raffle or just not advertising it in the pamphlet anymore?

I believe part of the requirement for Steven's to run the "Buckrun" unit, is to have a certain number of buck tags available to the public.  If not, he's if a win, win, win, win situation, and laughing all the way..........however, it wouldn't surprise me if WDFW allowed him to laugh these days..........

He generally has 10 any buck raffle tags and a certain amount of antlerless tags, he also does some management and trophy hunts, for a "fee" but I don't think there is any buck tags available to draw.  :twocents:

Looks like page 85 online has the Buckrun Raffle. Antlerless is on page 27
