What a great person. A little misty eyed myself. The ultimate sacrifice we all can appreciate but hard to take so close to home. When we had the Colockum rut tag he wrote me a book of all the good spots to scout. Still have it & will keep it. RIP

Aaron's F.O.B. took rockets and he died from wounds sustained in the attack.  Aaron had a 4 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.  He was his sons hero and mine!  He wanted to fly since he was a little boy and he really was living his dream!  It still doesn't even seem real like its just a bad dream.  He flies into Dover on the 25th and I will be there to meet him and bring him home.  He was my best friend and brother.  He was the best man I ever knew.  He stood tall, left his family and life to protect us from the evils of the world so they would never come knocking on our doors.  Looks like I will be chasing elk solo from here on out!  Keep the wind in your face and take it slow brother!  I love you!

BLR, I'm so sorry. we will really miss him around here. I can't imagine you're sense of loss. You don't need to hunt alone and are welcome in our camp any time.

I really do appreciate that and I appreciate everyones kind words but he was my one and only elk partner and that spot is reserved for Hunter know.  He's 4 so it will be a few years.  I can't even look at my son right now.  All I see is Aaron.

I can't even imagine your loss. You and your family are in my prayers and have my utmost gratitude for your brother's and your family's sacrifice.

In the pictures, which one is he?

No words I can ever say can compare to what was given. I showed up to work and my brother gave me the news, I am very sorry for the loss. Without men and women like him, our country would not be OUR country. Prayers with the family.
I hope you find your way to the happy hunting grounds!
Rest in peace.
Respectfully,

Douglas

Thanks for posting up some great photos, and some of his words BLRman. May God guide you now and in the future as you and your family move forward. Aaron is a great American, God bless you all.

If you or your family need something done,  animals fed, waterchanged or something while you are away BLRman,  meeting your brother, let me know and if I cant do it,  I know there are some Solid Selah folks on here that would be glad to help out.   This has really shaken my world, I can't imagine how this is for you.  Words just fall short....

Just read this......I'm very sad.  Prayers for the family and close friends.  Let hunt-Wa know what we can do to support the family.
