I'm just stunned, I feel like one of my mules kicked me right in the gut.  This just breaks my heart for his family.

BLRman, I am 133 miles from Dover, it's a little far, but you and you're family are more than welcome to stay at my house and if you need transportation or anything please let me know.
Thank you for the offer.  I don't know what arrangements the Army has lined up for me.  Doesn't matter its not like I am gonna eat or sleep anytime in the near future.  I just want to get him home!

I understand, I'll PM you my cell number.  Use it, don't use, just know if you need anything while you are back here, please call me and I will do my best to help however I can.

Atta boy, Fred.

I am sitting her in disbelief as many of you are. I never met Aaron in person, but talked with him many times on here and other forums we belong to. As a fellow Army Aviator, the sadness is that much more. I know that he would of never wanted to go out like that, but in the sky behind the controls of a machine that he loved.

RIP Aaron, you will be missed.  :salute:

I wish i was at my home base for the ramp ceremony. this news really has me shut down today.  Arron and i almost crossed paths on the last trip down there i think i recall. looking at this list i can remember some of the occurrances from my time starting around page 13.  A guy i knew raphael arruda is on page 14. this list is far too long.

I read the title and thought there must be some mistake. I am without words, through his posts on the forum I know Aaron was a great person. I cannot express how badly I feel for his family and friends. This is just unbelievable, my condolences to Aaron's family and friends.

Goodbye clockumelk, although we never met I felt like I knew you, I will miss your intelligent well thought posts, I greatly appreciate all your efforts to promote hunting and your true desire to see wildlife managed responsibly, and lastly thank you so much for your service to our nation.  :hello:

my wife is part of Aarons unit. she will be going over in about 2 weeks.  I don't know how much it means right now but I will be going to get his deer stand in a week or so. I would like to return it. I'll tell you I was really looking forward to hunting with him in NY

lol.  He would laugh at that because he knows my deep hatred for stand hunting!  I know its not up to me but if becky doesn't care I say just keep it.  He would want someone to enjoy it.  Those timber whitetails gave him absolute fits. lol

This is truly a tradgedy. I did not know Aaron personally, but read all of his Elk analysis for the colockum and could tell he was a very passionate person on what he beleived in. I can only assume that is why he stepped up for his country and took a post. It is obvious that he was loved and respected by many. Even those that had never met him. My Heart goes out to his family and friends. A true loss.

BLR, I would like to post a pic and mention him on my Facebook page with your permission. More people should know and pay tribute to your brother and ours.

Please let me know if this is ok. If not I completley understand.

Thanks

Brianb231
