BLRman my friend, I am sorry that this will be my first post on this site.  I have read many a posts on here, including from you and from Colockumelk.  I would have liked to have posted under different circumstances.

My family and I are deeply saddened to hear about your brother.  He is a true American hero and I feel proud to have met him long ago.

Karl we had some good times in our younger days, enjoying a duck blind or chasing those wily roosters.  I hope that the memories that you and your brother shared in the woods together stay fresh in your mind eternally.  If you ever need a hand or a haul out, don't hesitate to get a hold of me.

On behalf of the Harris family, our prayers are with Aaron's wife and children, as well as you and the entire Blanchard family at this time.

Again, we thank him for his service and he will not be forgotten.

J

From my family, Prayers and condolences. He is in the hands of God now with Jesus by his side.

As others have said, I didn't know him personally, but will miss his insight and true passion for hunting.

To his friends and family if there is anything we can do please let us know.

Heaven honors those like Aaron who were put themselves in harms way, so that others may always be Free.
You're hanging out with us now, pal. Dignity has nothing to do with it - SID

Captain Aaron R. Blanchard I thank you for serving our country and for the sacrifices you have given us to keep us free and safe from the evils of the world. And to the family of Aaron, my heart go out to you in your time of sorrow.
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

I just don't know what to say, so I haven't posted.  But I guess it is time to say something.  I was in shock and disbelief when I first read the news.

I always enjoyed Aaron's posts on here.  Like many others on this virtual family, I felt like I knew him even though we'd never met.  :salute:
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Like so many on here Im at a loss what to say.

Aaron, you are what makes this country great and Im very proud of you and Im sorry you had to pay the ultimate price to protect our freedom.  I will do everything I can to fight for our freedoms and see that others keep theres  that you fought so hard for. I shall forever remember you and the first arrow out of my bow this hunting season will have your name on it.

May prayers go out to all of the family that has lost this wonderful man. God bless

That's how I feel as well. I was so shocked and saddened by this news, I sat my 7 yo. son down and explained what it meant to join the military and serve our country, how important it is to never forget the men and women who have died for our freedom, and the loss felt by their families and friends.

BLRman, thank you so much for your families sacrifice. Please know that there is an entire nation that is proud of your brother's selfless acts, and humbled by his heroism.

Semper FI, Aaron. God bless....
