We should know in a month or so who the lucky guys are. I know everybody can't win but i hope a lot of HuntWA members get lucky in the draws.

Peaches might end up being the hardest tag to draw this year with everyone putting in that wouldnt normally put in for that unit.  :twocents:

Thats the game we all play with putting in for tags! Its all luck no matter what your point totals are.

Hey RT I will be up scouting again around the Little Naches this year and putting up my game cameras for the heck of it.  I will keep you informed of what I find.  I will be applying but will not get drawn since I got one last year.  Would love to help out with your hunt in some way if possible.

Greenhorn, i hiked into my camp on friday from the main road!  Snow was to deep to drive!! Awesome! Did not see another soul. We will have to plan a scouting trip.  I have never got into trail cams, but i will be putting some out this year!  We are going to need all the help we can get!!!

Did a workout this morning called " Murph". It is a Crossfit workout named for a KIA hero, Michael Murphy. It was said to be his favorite workout. 1mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, another 1 mile run. Crossfit is used by many Military, police and firefighters. It kicks your ass, but it is a small sacrifice we make every memorial day to pay tribute to fallen soldiers. Any ways, this year we were asked to pick a soldier KIA to represent. I hadn't read the thread about Colockumelk, I just stumbled on it today.  Next year, I will proudly and humbly represent him in the Murph workout next Memorial day. Thanks to all the Military members and their families, God Bless you and thank you for your service and sacrifice.

My family has been hunting unit 346 for over 20 yrs, and usually see big bulls every year. Both my brother and I have 600 feet each of nylon rope on Reelcraft hose reels, 12,500 pound winches mounted on carriers with quick connects forward and rear on our 4X4s,  and use snatch blocks that we mount to trees by chain and shackles on the highside of the logging spur roads which allows us to load the elk whole (although I have never had to quarter one we do know how and bring our packboards just in case).  We have over a 50% success rate for spikes.  We put in as a group for modern any bulls and have 10 pts each for this years draw.  I just received Jason Phelp's wonderful elk call in honor of Aaron.  I have my fingers crossed for the draw and hopefully will be able to post pictures of 3 good bulls (brother, nephew, and I) with "Aaron's" call in the picture.  Even though I'm 62 yrs old and my brother 64 yrs old, we still get up the hills and into the elks bedding and cover areas, and do call in some pretty nice bulls every year ... just need the tags !  Fingers are crossed ....
