I just talked with Aaron a few weeks back, I'm in total shock! My God I don't know what to say. I'll let everyone know on the ElkNut Forum as well. What a freaking shame!!!!! This really bums me out for him & the ones he's left behind. Thanks for letting us know.

Aaron, rest in peace sir & thank you for your service, you have given the ultimate sacrifice my friend.

Like most others on H-W, I only knew Aaron through his posts and a couple of PM's, but I'm still heart broken over his loss. Even though Aaron and I are the same age, had some common friends and went to Central, I never had the pleasure to meet him face to face.  My little brother knew Aaron well and graduated with him from Central's Army ROTC program in 2009.

Pulling a tag for Peaches would be a great way to honor a true American hero. So here is my dilemma: I already specified my tag for the Westside and took a points option for the draw.  Will WDFW let me change it to an Eastside tag and put in for Peaches Ridge since the drawing hasn't taken place yet?  I have 16 points, so I am thinking that I might have a decent shot at pulling a Peaches permit.

Does anybody know if WDFW will let me "start over", so I can try to pull a Peaches permit?

I think they will, but you will have to mail your westside tag to the licensing office and they should switch it for you.

I cannot charge up the hills and keep up with a pack board but I will cook and camp tender for the trip and provide the rib-sticking vittles for the camp.  Cooked professionally for 10 years and love to feed folks.  My hope is Karl would find his way to the fire so we can honor the departed and those he touched behind.

Thats what this is all about!  We need a tag! Then lets get to planning this hunt!

I typically run and gun alone while chassing bulls . I often sit and reflect on just hoe assume it is to be able use the land and enjoy a hunt . It's only because of great men Like Aron and his brothers in arms that lay there lives down for the great country we live in . We often complain about the usa and politics , but the reallity is we still live in the best place on earth . my 13 points are down for archery in both peaches and the cloc and no doubt if I pull a tag I will refect with a heavey heart , RT your of is very generous and it would be an honor to share camp with you brother.
