Anyone in for Ground Squirrels?
« on: April 26, 2013, 11:00:12 AM »
I’m going over to the Yakima area Saturday to hopefully shoot some ground squirrels.  I’ll be by myself and I’m wondering if anyone would like to join up?

This will be my first time for the big game ground squirrels, so don’t count on me for any expertise or places to go.   :dunno:

But, I have a general idea of where to go, thanks to Fastdam and Bowhunter2476!

I plan on leaving Redmond/Bellevue about 7:00 and spend the day on the other side.  I can adjust if necessary.  And, come to think about it, if anyone has a better place to go, we can go there!

Let me know if anyone is interested.   :hello:

Carl

If it wasn't for the fact that my sister is flying in Saturday, I'd be all for it!  Only place I've shot Ground Squirrels is Oregon.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Well, let's do it another time.       I've been dying to go and I have this Saturday open, so I'm going.

Next weekend is the big Apple Blossom Festival, and we usually scedule an Oregon Ground Squirrel trip but this time it seems like everyone has other commitments.  My sister flies out that Saturday morning, so I'm tied up....  Just isn't my year to "get out of Dodge" during Apple Blossom.   :bash:

That sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe we can do a hunt up here somewhere.

There's not much meat on them--especially after the 17 HMR....  :chuckle:
