Thanks guys. It was a fun hunt and a short season. Saylean brought the skull and hide to the taxidermist for me today and hopefully I can get the meat to the butcher tomorrow.

The taxi estimated the bear to be 5 or 6 years old. He was around 5'1" or so and has a 17" skull.

I didn't get to finish my story but the short of the long is...

The bear was located in an area i couldn't work on him very well myself so I waited for a couple buddies to show up to help. Unfortunately it took them a couple hrs to show up. We got the bear back to the road, de-boned and skinned in fairly quick order but we didn't get back to the gate until almost 5 am.

It was a long night but a great experience. I hope to have some more pictures up early this week.
