For conceal carry I prefer my Colt 80 series Combat Comander 45acp.

For out in the woods open carry I prefer my Rossi 971- 357 magnum revolver.

For target shooting I prefer my Ruger Mark-2 stainless with a ten inch bull barrel, 22 caliber rimfire.

I was always a 1911 shooter until I finally bought a Glock 20.  15 rounds of 10mm in the mag in a very shootable, accurate, reliable package is tough to beat.

:) I was forced by department policy to carry a Glock 20/21 in 45 for about 8 years, I was never so happy to get rid of that evil club and go back to a balanced well fitting 1911. !!  :dunno: :chuckle:

Browning Buckmark with the 7" TacSol fluted black barrel.
Fun to shoot all day long and looks pretty cool doing it.

I drool over this one now and then. My stepdad owns one. Kimber Eclipse Target II.

You should get one jackalope i carry the same gun except the rear sight is the fixed combat night sight but still very accurate out to 50yds. I got it when i was 21 for a birthday present from my parents and have been carrying it for almost 7yrs now. It is the best handgun i have ever owned. The only other handgun that i liked half as much was my ruger mkII 22/45 5.5in bull bbl that thing was ridiculously accurate.

Owned a Glock once for about 30 days.  Sold it for about 50% less than I paid for it just to get it gone.  About five years later I talked myself into getting another one.  Thought I must have missed something.  That one didn't make it another 30 days before it was gone.  Guess I'm a slow learner  :(  Would have saved myself a lot of money and trouble if I'd just stuck with Sigs, 1911's and wheel guns.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

You guys have some awesome guns
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I,ve got a full size Kimber Pro Team Match 1911 - 45acp. Stainless slide & frame.
 A Colt 80 series Combat Commander 1911 - 45acp. Stainless slide & frame.
A Ruger GP100 - 357 Revolver, Stainless.
 A Rossi 971 - 357 Revolver, Stainless.
A Kahr PM9 - 9mm.
 A Smith & Wesson 642 - 38spl + P Revolver.
A Bond Arms Derringer - Cowboy Defender 45LC/410, Stainless.
 A Taurus 94 - 22LR nine shot Revolver, Stainless.
A Ruger Redhawk 44mag Revolver, Stainless.
 A Ruger Single-Six 22LR/22MAG, Stainless.
A Ruger Mark 2 - 22LR with a ten inch Bull Barrel Semi, Stainless.
 A ruger Mark 2 - 22LR with a 6 7/8 inch Government Target Semi, Stainless.
A Thompson Center Contender with a ten inch 22LR barrel and a 45LC/410 - fourteen inch barrel.
 A 45 caliber single-shot black powder pistol.

I'm looking for more barrels for the Contender, 35 Rem., 222, 30-30, 357mag, 44mag, and maybe a few more.

You can never have enough guns, I shoot all of the ones I own. It's a fun time heading up to the mountains for a day of target practice, we ussally take a couple of handguns, two shotguns and the clay pigeon trap thrower, a couple of 22 caliber rifles and a couple of black powder guns as well. Once in a while we'll shoot the high power rifles towards the end of summer.
I've got seventeen old vintage rimfire 22 caliber rifles that I like to shoot. I just picked up three old 22s last week.

I also like to collect old 410 shotguns when the price is right. I've got about ten of them.

H&K 9mm USP.  At the Prison we had one that still shot well at 76,000 documented rounds.  Did not have any repairs or barrel changes.  A freaking awesome pistol.  I have 2 Compact 40's.
