Sounds like it's time to move up in caliber. I think that a 416 Rigby should work well as a coyote "stopping" rifle. :tup:

I hit one in the lungs with a 250gr MK out of my 338/375 pistol at about 250 yards and that critter didn't even miss a step. He made it about 60 yards before just falling over. That was one of the strangest things I'd ever seen.

Problem with such a heavy bullet is the bullet doesnt get the chance to expand at all. It basically is just punching a hole through it, so the SHOCK isnt there like it is with a smaller bullet thats expanding RAPIDLY

Heck I have killed many with a .22 that never made it that far  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: Should have cut him in half  :yike: glad ya got him  :tup:

My son has been using his deer rifle with great success on yotes out to 300yds. (270win)  Kinda over kill  :chuckle: with 130's so we're looking for some 90gn bullets. But yes, they can take a hit once in a while and you just wonder what the heck?
