Selkirk Moose
«
on:
October 07, 2008, 06:58:51 PM »
Here are a few pics of my dad's Selkirk Moose he shot on October 6th. He's really proud about it as he should be. Not much of a story other than they hunted since opening day, saw many moose but only this big one. Seemed that calling them in was very effective. Shot it with a .338 I think it was like 51 3/4 inches wide.

Very well done!!! Congrats to your dad and his crew.
Seeing all these moose pics are going to cost me a lot of money in raffle chances next year. I have to increase my odds somehow, wdfw won't draw my name for the permit hunt.

Right on. I talked to your Dad before he left and he was Jacked. Glad he was feeling good enough to get out there. That is a dream come true for a guys on the brink of death 1 year ago and to be able to take an animal of life time the next. I can't wait to see it.
Also glad Don was able to go with him.

Congrats to your dad on an awesome moose!
I really hope I get drawn next year!!! Maybe if WDFW decides to make only 2 choices for OIL hunts I'll get my chance.

Wow! Now that is a dandy bull! It will look great on the wall. Even better, there will be many steak dinners to come. I'm drooling just thinking about mine tomorrow night as I just picked up my moose meat today!
