2012 Oregon archery Black Bear mount - in progress
«

Thought I'd post the progress photo's of my 2012 archery black bear being mounted by Cedar River Taxidermy. They called me today to come check the position of the form. I had requested a pedestal mount with a longer back and more pronounced scallop. Once I brought in the end table they ordered the base. Hopefully I'll get a chance to take more progress pics before it's done. They do amazing work! Posting pics of before (still breathing), during and after.

brett, that is going to be a cool set of sequential pictures you have going. That looks like a really nice bear and I am sure with you being so closely involved it will be great when it's done. I would bet that it will be a source of pride for many years to come.

Just stopped in to check on progress. I couldn't be happier with how it's turning out. I was telling Rick how awesome it is to see this bear again. The last time I saw it is just a vapor of a memory because of all the excitement and emotion. Too cool. And great that Rick is a hunter too, like these other amazing taxidermists, who appreciate the love of the animals, the hunt and the memories these mounts give us. Thanks for making this your careers and providing such an important service to all of us.

Hey Brett,
Thanks for posting this project like you are. It's a real pleasure for us to work for clients like your self, who appreciate our work and the animals we get to work on for you.
Going to be cool to see the bear from in the woods, to in your house. Thanks, Rick
