the answer depdends on which 32 you are comparing the 32 h&R magnum to. the 32 s&w is an old cartirdge made for top break revolvers in the 1880's. next in the 32 line is the 32 smith and wesson long it shoots a 98 gr. bullet at around 750 fps. there is a 32 auto that shoots a 77 gr. bullet at around 800. the 32 magnum shoots an 85 gr. hollow poing at around 1100 fps and a hundred gr. lead simi wadcutter at 1050 fps. i didnt look up the exact velosity but am sure i am close. then there is a 32 colt short and long. and there are 32 rimfire cartridges. best to buy a reloading manual and read it. argie1891

what brand of 32 do you have?? they have been made by almost every manufacturer in the world. some are cheap and others are well made and could be worth a bit of cash. even if you cant sell it it is still fun to know more abut your pistol. let me know the make and model and i will give you some information on it if i can. argie1891
