Love it! Nice work.

Question for you: I have a dry tan of a bear I shot a few years ago, could it be turned into a half mount?

What tannery tanned the bear? A couple years is fine if it is a good tannery with a good tan.

A local shop in my area, it's in good shape, just was curious instead of doing a rug

Not all tanneries are created equal, trust me on this . Thats why I asked which tannery .  I have had people bring in stuff that was tanned and in good shape by looking at it  only  to rehydrate and have it fall apart (acid rot ) or not streatch (dead hide) .  In fact I have one right now a guy brought me that was tanned about 10 years ago that has no  streatch or what streatch it does have is more like the streatch you would get out of a  rubber band  , streatch it out and it goes right back to where I started. Im going to attempt to do a half mount as it was a real nice spring bear.  The best tans I have had were the synthetic tans in the ez-100 for longetivity and being able to rehydrate them after being tanned for quite a fiew years . Alum tans are bad for not rehydrating , they have been best used when fresh, I have had Lutan-f tans that dont rehydrate well after quite a few years thats what that spring bear I rehydrated is.
