1200 is cheap....that is only 400 dollars per person.   This one could be epic.....

Oh yeah. Now we're talking. This may be the highest yielding auction to date. What did the Hoyt sell for?

$400 per person is cheap, but I'm bidding on this for myself. Let me see if I can drum up some partners. It would be an honor to bring in the highest amount in an auction for this hero's family.

That's how I see it. I just don't have anyone to come with me. That's just because I don't have any friends though.  :'( :chuckle: More accurately, I don't have any friends with $400 to spend. They all said something about mortgage payments or food or something like that.  :dunno: :chuckle:

Well, I had me and two others that were waiting to snipe....but now we are out of their price range.  I am sure you can find a few others to go with you guys and share the cost.

Any 2 of you other bidders want to pledge $400 each? Or more, and go in together?  I don't have anyone else who will be going.  I will pay the balance, and trust you to pay me back, or not go. I like the idea of raising money for colockum's family.

A few years back a few of us split up one of these auctions. We didn't know each other at the time but we had a great time sturgeon fishing. I'd call any one of the guys on that trip a friend now. It was a great time for a great cause. Same goes here. Good stuff, however it plays out.

Well York, since you and I have no friends, why don't we team up and buy this thing!   :chuckle: I do want to know what the highest grossing amount for an auction  is and beat it though. I have one friend that may be interested if you want to split 3 ways. let me know.

well I missed a couple of responses before I posted my last. So yes I would be willing to team up and split the cost with any of you.

I have to go to bed because I have to get up early and go shrimping. If anyone wins this auction and wants me to go with them then you have my word that I will pitch in up to $500 to cover my part. FC will go in also up to $500. Let me know If you want us to pitch in. I will probably be on the water until 3:00 or 4:00 so I will check in as soon as I can and get a hold of you. Good luck to the winning bidder and I hope to be a part of this hunt.
