where to purchase quality land
« on: October 25, 2013, 12:30:22 PM »
If someone were to purchase a good chunk of land, preferably backing some state land. Where would ones best bet be to purchase that would include a good amount of big game and turkey? Just looking for opinions, experience and knowledge of the state.

I know a landowner that has around 1100 + - acres left for sale over here. Exactly what you're looking for too.

What do you consider 'good chunk'?  Pretty hard to find anything over 500 acres on westside unless it is a tree farm.  Most westside stuff seems to go for around $3K/acre.  Even on the eastside not a lot that isn't farmland over about 1,500 acres.  There are a few realtor sites and most have a map and acreage filter to find what you need.

Go on craigs list, Spokane, real estate and punch in Lake Roosevelt.  You'll find a ton of offerings from just a few acres to a lot of acreas.  Many advertise deer and turkeys on site.
