« on: May 06, 2013, 03:30:46 PM »
6 Mile or so round trip, Nice short little day hike with my lady and a buddy of mine I grew up with, Wanted his first outing so we took him along to one of our favorite spots.
Let me know what you think. Runs a little long but Its worth it. Was a great 3 season day.
Enjoy

That looks like a really cool and fun hike. Where exactly is it if you don't mind saying.

It's out in Eatonville, there's a LOT of different random hikes in there, not really visible trail heads but it's open to explore.

I wouldnt park at those falls if i was you. I saw two tow trucks towing four vehicles out of there not too long ago. Crossing those tracks is private property until you get to the other side. Just a heads up. But if you come in from the main entrance youd be ok.

Just an FYI, that is U W Pack Forest, outside Eatonville.

Not Packwood, Packwood is on HWY 12 east of Randle.

Nice easy day hike

Thanks for the heads up, didn't even know there was parking anywhere around there. We came in from main entrance/pack forest public entrance.

Park at what falls? We hike 4 miles before we even get to the falls from the charles pack forest entrance. Its public and has a parking area with forest signs, just says to watch for ticks.

The area you went is the right spot. On the other side of the railroad track is a pull out outside eatonville were most try to come in and get towed. Most are lazy and they try to take a shortcut and pay the price.
