shooting form
« on: May 06, 2013, 05:37:47 PM »
So I had my wife take a few pictures of me shooting to see what my form looks like. I tried shooting with a thumb release and this is how I felt comfortable and shot best.

it's hard to tell but it looks like your bow hasn't moved since the shot, which makes me assume you may be gripping it.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Everything looks pretty good except draw length looks to be about 1"- 1 1/2" too long. This is causing you to lean back, you want your body straight vertically. The nock should be below your right eye. You will probably be more comfortable and shoot better with a shorter draw. More consistent as well. But none of this is set in stone, if you shorten it and shoot worse, then put it back.

Shorter draw screws me over I cant group at all. My lenght should be 30" and its set at 29.5" im leaning be cause of the group I have a video of me shooting on flat ground and im striaght up. I notice with a normal release I hold why different. Need to take a few more pics and settle in with that new release too.
