That bear's coat is absolutely beautiful.    :tup:  All the bears I've been seeing in the NE are pretty raggedy looking.  What elevation were you, around 4000 ft?

I'd say around 2500 ft elevation. No problem on the fawns.

We figured around 250 to 275. His head doesn't fit his body that well.

My boar from a few years ago was the same way.  Long winters up there, they drop a lot of weight while in there dens!  I bet he was pushing 400 lbs when he denned up last fall.

Yeah he was big for sure. I tried to keep a low guess because I know how deceiving bears are with weight.
