Lynx Mount
« on: May 07, 2013, 08:08:34 AM »
My Lynx mount is almost finished, just waiting on snow and finishing touches on the scenery. May become my new favorite mount. My cougar is at about the same stage. Plan on bringing them home the 1st week of June, can't wait.

My cougar hunt is a much better story. Chased him for 5.5 hours with dogs, when they ran out of steam in the deep snow. Treed him 4 times, and ran him all the way up a canyon to finally get him at the top with a .22 mag. I'll post a picture of the cougar mount a little later.

Yes, just over the border from Tonasket in Oliver, BC. Same friend that I took my cougar with. Tracked him while looking for cougar. Great hunting guide up there.

Hacketjack, that's a great photo! It was too dark to get any photos from the field. Glad you scored a nice Lynx.

The offitter just across the border has great cougar and a good population of lynx. Just really hard to chase them with dogs because you need to plan the snow just right. The guide put about 875 miles on his sled during the hunt for both animals.
