hunting in franklin county south of othello

my buddy and i are headed to Franklin county gmu 379 we live up in bellingham so i don't know much about the area. I'm just looking for some insight on the area good places to go. public/privet if possible are the farmers pretty open to letting people hunt there field if you ask. Ive been told there are allot of orchards. down that way.

any help would be great. thanks......

99% of the area is private land.  Look online at the hunting statistics for that GMU migth entice someone, but you might want to go elsewhere.  While there is a high success rate, access to good areas is controlled by land owners.  I tried to get access for my then 10 year old daughter to harvest a doe and was politely denied.  I live close by and have driven through/scouted the area alot as it is any deer, which is good for my kids and the freezer.  We hunt elsewhere.

If you are dead set on that unit, I would suggest the area south of hwy 24 and east of basin city.  Good luck.
