I'm not sure what the sponsor requirements are to post links on this site, so if I'm out of line in posting this please let me know.

Here's an Outdoor Line podcast that covers fishing off the jetties at Westport and Ocean Shores. It might be somewhat helpful in your pursuit of bottomfish out there. Best of luck to you  ;)

Here's a few more podcast links from the "Tech Line" where we cover a different technique every week on the radio show:

http://www.theoutdoorline.com/resource-line/tech-line/

We have podcasts available every week on the main Outdoor Line page and I periodically update the Resource Line page with stuff that people seem to be interested in. There's a really good surf perch podcast in there somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can find it. If I get lucky and find it I'll post it up for ya.

Buddies of mine do really well fishing off the jetties out there for sea bass and lingcod and all they use are curly tails and swim baits on jig heads. When the salmon are running they'll float a whole herring under a bobber and they'll catch a few salmon that way too. Pretty fun deal...just gotta watch the weather. Best of luck to you!
