where to get quail for dog training?

I've been looking to get some coturnix quail to run my gsp pup on so she can be ready to go here pretty quick. I used to be able to get the birds just down the road but she stopped breeding the little buggers. Anyone know where to get some quail around the enumclaw/puyallup/tacoma area? Any info would be great thanks.

Well theres plenty of people around the state that have birds. I usually find my birds on craigslist. And your alittle late seasons already here... Where are you located and I could give you dealers near you area

How old is the pup?  How about wild birds?  Their free and there's no better training tool.  I had my pup out last year at 8 months old, he quickly learned the difference between wild and training birds.  I did get training birds from a guy in Duvall (chukar & pheasants), if your on this side let me know and I'll see if I can dig up his number.

The pup is about 5 and 1/2 months old. I want a controlled situation or I would have taken her quail hunting with my older gsp. I'm gonna try pigeons, I got some of those. I'm probably going to take her on the pheasant opener but I have a feeling she's gonna be bored with the way the hatch was this year. I'm on the westside, if you could pm the numbers that would be great. Thanks Rob
