Agreed.

Please know that this community won't forget nor would we grow tired of hearing from you.....   Even if it's to help you lug boxes when you move.

I'd drive over just for the honor of helping your family move in more easily.

I thought I was done shedding tears - I was wrong.  Thank you Mrs. Blanchard for the terrible sacrifice you and your children have experienced, and are experiencing.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Mrs. Colockumelk,

I literally had to wait for the tears to clear to type, after reading your post.  We owe you a Thank You, for allowing Aaron to be a part of our lives, even if for most it was electronically.  He truly knew how to touch people's lives.

It is a privilege to honor him.  I have no other way to put it... and in honoring him, we honor you and those two beautiful young ones.

Please just ask if you need anything.  We are all here for you and your children.  Aaron would have done the same for us, without even thinking twice about it.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Why is it that the most deserving of our respect and condolence Have a hard time accepting it? There is something drilled into us that we are unworthy of praise or thanks...
Your Husband died a warriors death running INTO the fight. Not many people make that sacrifice...
No words we say can wipe away the pain, Which is why you and your family are so deserving of our unending gratitude...

I tried to comment yesterday but just couldn't seem to do it. I was in the military and lost friends there, but that will never compare to what you lost. Words cannot explain the pride I feel not only for your husband but for you as well. It takes a very strong woman to stand beside an active duty military man, and not all can do it. It is now our duty to help you out any way we can.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

Mrs. Blanchard-
I did have the honor of both talking with Mr. Blanchard on the forum and in person. He was a wonderful person. I know my husband and I were really looking forward to getting up to Fort Drum to meet him. (My husband told me that we already had hunting trips planned). I got the opportunity to meet him in person and unfortunately my husband did not and I know he struggles with that. I was really looking forward to being with him in the sandbox (in which I will be really, really soon). My husband felt so much more at ease knowing that he was going to be there to keep me safe (as per a discussion i was told about between the men) and with what what I know of Mr. Blanchard I know he will be anyway as he will over every other soldier and his family.
As I had told Mr. Karl, it was an honor for me to count him as my brother and I will never forget him. Thank you and your family for allowing me the opportuniity to know and serve with your husband and children's father. There are no thanks needed to me. I already owe you more than you could ever owe me.

It's unimaginable the pain you and your family must be feeling right now, and although your thank you is much appreciated by each member, its us as Americans that should be thanking him and your family.

I thank him for his staunch dedication to our freedoms and this country, his willingness to put his life on the line for each and every one of us, as if we were family. His courage to do what most men won't, and paying the ultimate sacrifice in the name of liberty.

A heart felt Thank You to you and the rest of your family, for sharing him with us as Americans and allowing him to be the man you knew him to be, honorable, dedicated, selfless and a patriot.

I couldn't have said this any better!

 :yeah:

Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers, and even our 5 yr old reminds me during our blessing for dinner to remember your family.  God bless!

I've read every word about Aaron I could find.  I haven't been able to respond because of emotions.  Through heavy tears I've written and re-written this note.  I hope his sons may read this in 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 years and be very proud of their Dad.

To Aaron,

The Hunt-WA family was a part of you; like it is for many of us.  I know you are getting this message from however we'll get internet in heaven.  In our talks I always said you would outrank me if you stuck to your plan.  I wasn't thinking it would come to you being elevated to the rank of National Hero in this way; that was unexpected and unwelcome: but Thank You!  I wish you could have made it to your bird to be able to defend yourself and protect America and our freedoms, but that was not God's plan.
When you were certified to fly that thing, I slept better that week.  My family was safer because of your talent; I appreciate that.  You were there to protect me, my family and what we stand for.  That will never be forgotten.
I stand here in a perpetual salute to you and your family.  Please continue to watch over us from above!
Sir, I salute you!

With all my love and respect,
Todd
