sorry another multi season question.

If I buy an archery deer tag and put in for only archery special permits can I still buy my multi season tag at a later date?

Yes, but not after August 31st, I believe is the date.  Once any deer season has started there will be no purchasing of a multi season permit.

By any chance is there any kind of surplus sale for multi season deer permits. I know last year there were more permits than applicants and i believe its the same this year but havent seen any numbers. So is there a first come first serve for all additional permits to meet the quota?

My understanding is No, there is no left over permit sales, like there are in other states.
The only way to get a permit is to apply.  Once application deadline is over, that's it.

I had to do this last year. All you have to do is take your archery deer tag Into an authorized license dealer and they will call Olympia and have your deer tag voided which will allow you to purchase the multi season tag. If you don't have it voided, the dealer will not be able to choose the multi-season tag as an option.

Not all dealers will do this though. Some will make you mail your tag back to WDFW licensing dept. and they will then issue you a new tag. At least from my experiences.

Thats what i thought too. Just curious is there was. Kinda surprising it isnt that way. Just an extra way for the state to make some money. Give all the people that either forgot about the deadline or just changed their mind a way a second chance.
