Do you guys realize the apparent love-fest  you have for each other on here.  Of all of your thousands of posts, I'm pretty sure 85% of them are redneck love notes back and forth to each other.

On the original post note, I'm going to take the girl out in my 14' cruise ship this weekend and try to snag (by the mouth of course) a 35.5" ling.  Two of them actually.  Hopefully my motor runs and it doesn't sink.

Too bad D-Rock doesn't have a working boat yet or a boat driving license. :hello:

I was gonna say the same thing reading through this thread.  Get a room you two!

I am considering taking my boat out and tossing in a line Saturday as well, prolly around Posession somewhere.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

I may be out. I am trying to decide if it is better to take a 9 year old out to catch lings and dig clams or if I should keep him on trout for now. I guess I could always hook him up with flounder, but he may get impatient waiting for a ling to bite....and then again, I could "accidentally" catch a few rockfish for him to reel up  :chuckle:

Of course my mind is set on lings  :chuckle:

Incidental rockfish is just that....incidental.

Cheaters......what a great show....it is like a train wreck....never seen it...

BBQ.....I promise to keep the PDA to a low level but I tend to hug folks after a few beers...

I'm taking my girl out to the San Juans for some shrimp and ling fishing. May even try for Halibut. Supposed to be good tides, little wind, maybe just a bit of wind. Looks perfect. Might even pull into Friday Harbor for a late lunch/early diner. Good fishing and tight lines everyone.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

What lb line we using? Im going to have to respool tonight.
Was thinking 40lb (10lb mono equivalent) power pro since everyone Is saying its the go-to braid tied with a double uni 20lb mono end.
That way I know Ill be able to hold a good 200+ yards of it.
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.

That is perfect. I don't use mono at the end.....straight braid.
