Got a limit of shrimp this morning and a just short ling.  One of our pots had 230 shrimp in it, too bad I didn't drag my wife and boy along as we were 10 shrimp short of 5 limits, for two of us.   :'(

Don't feel bad -we also got skunked around Whidbey  :bash:.I think we have to move north closer to Lokidog in order to catch fish nowadays. We were fishing Halibutus brutus with 40 other boats and I haven't seen any fish caught around us all day .We got whole bunch of Flaunders ,but you couldn't keep the bait on the bottom because it will get stripped in matter of minutes......... I had my stockings (don't laugh) full of herring and in 10 minutes they were gone .....I was looking for you H20 , but the only white NR with gray top was by Hat island late around 5pm.
Because of the fishing success I have decided to start golfing or chess ,or fish the coast line like the big guys .

Good luck out there today, looks like a great day to be on the water.

Cap. Silver, did those flounder have any size to them?  I caught two of unknown variety out here last year that were 17 and 18 inches, they looked tumory but the meat was good.  These are the only ones I've caught up here.

Man....what a tough two days of trying for lings. I swear the fishing gods have it out for me. Great tides.....terrible weather. We went back out on the bar this morning and fished the honey hole. There were a few others out. However, the wind was worse than yesterday even though the waves were a bit better. We would drift, reset, drift, reset, drift while backing into the wind....just didn't work. We saw virtually no fishing being caught. After two hours of working at it we bailed. Caught a few rockfish...one pretty nice blackie that I'll upload a clip of.

First trip in the salt with the boat complete. No blood on the decks, but Saturday was a good trip out of Edmonds.

Does anybody have a better launch alternative? $45 just to get the boat in the water is a bit steep...

hawksfan75 - the Mukilteo should open up any time now,but its $15 now and the ramp sucks ..... Your other alternative is Everett with 10 mile rundown to Posession and I think is  $8 or &10 to launch.....

Thanks Capt. We'll be camping in Washington Park in Anacortes this weekend, so that should just cut the whole thing out.

Love being on the water, but I really wish I knew what I was doing when it comes to catching fish ;)
