$600 for a rug w/ open mouth.....sounds very reasonable. Please keep us posted as far as turn around, quality, and end cost.

It's hard to find a taxidermist these days that will charge by the lin.ft. Years ago I bagged a 1.5 year old 4 ft Cinn. black bear.  I found one that charged 85.00 per lin ft. The taxidermist that I used moved to Montana so I found another one. He charged by the 125.00 lin. ft. and does great work. That bear cost me around 650.00 or so and the other one around 800.00. I called a lot of other taxidermists and many of them charge a flat rate or minimum. The flat rate was good if you shot a big boar, but sucks if you tagged a young bear. That's good to see some taxidermist out there that charge by the lin. ft still. Can't wait to see the rug.
Boar looking for Sow to hunt with. LOL
