License screw up by me
« on: May 17, 2013, 06:57:01 PM »
I think I have read on here before where this happen to someone but I can't find it.  I mixed up my elk tag side of state designation.  I put Western for mine and Eastern for my kids.  It should have been just the opposite.  I started to try and submit my special permits when I figured out my mistake.  I am hoping I can go to the Region 5 headquarters and have them straighten it out on Monday.  Anyone else have any experience with this?

You can call. But do it before drawing results come out
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

Assuming you didn't submit any of the permit apps, just go to any license vendor and they can exchange the tags for you. I have done it more than once  :twocents:

I just did it online tonight, so I am hoping if I call right away Monday I can get everything switched around so I can submit special permits before the deadline.

Yup, They can exchange it if you have not submitted the permits.  It's on page 15 of the regs
Progressives are coming for your guns.
What are you going to do?

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

Do not waste your time calling. They cannot exchange your tags over the phone because you must hand in your incorrect ones. Go back to where you bought your licenses (or any place that sells licenses) and they will exchange them for you. No need to wait until Monday. Again, this is assuming you didn't actually push submit on the permit apps.

I bought them online last night so I don't even have a paper copy mailed to me yet.  I didn't hit the submit button on any of them.  I think I will call the Region 5 headquarters first and then hopefully go in to see them.  They are close to where I live.

Ok, gotcha. Didn't get that you bought the license/tags online too. Hopefully they can help you out.

Ya, 2 years ago the lady at bi-mart gave me a modern firearm elk tag and an archery deer tag. I wanted a archery elk tag and a mf deer tag!
