I should add that I appreciate the optimistic vibes abounding that I may actually have a reason to go to Heritage aside from picking up some nice ribeyes.  ;-)

Have you ever taken a game animal there yourself? I thought you were a "NEW" hunter?

Heritage is a no go. Where else is recommended?
« Reply #18 on: October 18, 2008, 09:10:07 PM »
Hey all, we dropped in at Heritage Meats today but they told us that they are not accepting any "bone in" deer this year.  We were in the Stewarts area today so swung in for some pig ears for our hard-working pheasant chasers on the way home, and picked up another copy of the deer info sheet that I was asking about originally in this post.  (I scanned it this time so I can't lose it again, just in case)

So, where else is a good place to take a deer around here in the very unlikely event that I get one this year?

Thanks~

I wouldn't buy meat out of Stewarts case let alone take my hard earned game there. Been there  :bash:

Steve, don't be saying that. I won't take my game meat there but I love the Alder smoked jerky. It has to be ok, it has to be ok, it has to be ok. :chuckle:
