Range Finder or Spotting Scope

I have a bunch of Cabela's gift cards and I'm going to buy either a Range Finder or Spotting Scope. I hunt Modern Firearm (mostly), So I'm leaning toward a Spotting Scope. Able To spend up to $500.

Leica makes a great rangefinder.   Keep saving if you want a spotting scope. :twocents:

Where and how are you hunting?  What is your max comfortable ahooting range?  How good are you at judging distance within your maximum comfortable shooting range?

I tend to hunt in a lot of different county from brush to open "big" country. Last year hunted pretty open country. Didn't get any shooting in, but could have been some long shots. Feel pretty comfy up to 400 yards, but never needed to shoot much over 200. Usually pretty good at judging distants, but hate to be wrong. Missed a good bull one year, put the shot right under him at 330, hate that.

I have both but I wouldn't be without rangefinder,it is sometimes hard to accurately judge distance.

Absolutely a range finder. I'm horrible at judging distance though.
