PolarBear, when I read your comment, it gave me a little chuckle. I don't have any personal experience with cougars, but a good buddy of mine is some sort of "predator magnet". Bears or cougars, it doesn't matter, he sees them all the time, and about 1/3 the time, they are stalking him. He shot a cougar that had been watching him from behind a log. When he spotted it and made eye contact, it put the rush on him, he missed the first shot, but got'em with the second. Said that the cat started doing flips about 6 ft. in the air. When it stopped moving, he started to run over to it, and he was so unnerved by the whole thing that his knees gave out, and he had to sit there for about 10 mins. before he could walk over and check out the cat. LOL
