what happend is DNR decided to cut a new trail into the area I hunt..I have multiple cams in the area. I have the one cam that was stolen was on a ridge top with a game trail..I had built a mock scrape and had the cam over it..I was there just 2 weeks ago and all was fine. I show up Saturday and see all this..the new trail they cut in went right thru my mock scrape! and my cam was right on this new trail on a open tree..couldnt miss it. They didnt see the other cam I had placed 100 yards away and this trail they cut in went right by the cam..this one was pretty hidden.
I am calling the colville DNR

Please do call DNR!  Watch your tongue, so that you don't accuse anybody unfairly.  Just tell DNR the facts (camera stolen, DNR crew caught on tape, would you like to look at the pictures before I turn them over to the country prosecutor....).  There is always the possibility that somebody else stole your property, but if the perpetrators are contract crew to the State, then DNR needs to take immediate action.

Iam going to call and tell them what happened...bring it to their attention..maybe the site boss will be contacted and crew and see if anything arises. I highly doubt anything will be done about it. I don't have their pic taking it, so its really just assumption. A damn good assumption tho :chuckle: I have never had a human on camera in 4 yrs in there or witnessed anyone bowhunting it when I have either..just a odd coincidence that my cam is now gone after DNR crew came thru

Pd had a good post. Call DNR and discuss it calmly but bluntly with them.

The guy in the first pic has a radio on his belt.....it is a bk which is very commonly used with wild land crews.  What he has in his hand is to thick to be phone and doesn't look like any GPS I have ever seen.  It very well could be a game cam if yours was small and that color......

What's even more suspicious is what he has in his cargo pocket.  It is something heavy and bulky.....looks like it is square in shape l.....also a can of chew.

those are great cougar shots....stinks about your camera though, so I am curious did you have any security measures to prevent it?

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
