More Scouting and Conditioning...
« on: May 19, 2013, 11:51:58 PM »
Took a little walk... Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River, CCC Trail #1264.

More scouting for Black Bears. Didn't see any sign. No tracks, no scat, and no scraps. It was a reasonably pleasant day. Lower to mid 60's I believe. Picture of Russian Butte.

I did spot two Black Tail Doe's around 7:30PM. Walked up to them - about 20 feet away. I sure hope I can spot their dad in the Fall.

Didn't get to shoot at all. The area is heavily signed, "No Shooting, Safety Corridor". I imagine this area gets pretty nutty come October.

Pickup up a Mega Arms Forged lower to go with the Mega Arms 6.8mm SPC Forged upper. I'm pretty happy with it...

Hoping to get out most weekends between now and the Fall. If anyone is interested in scouting with me, shoot me a message.

Peace

Sam

I drove up the middle fork on a sunday in october. I saw about 100 other cars and probably close to 50 people on foot... and it was raining. None of them were hunters as far as i could tell. That place gets uber busy.

Thanks, yeah I'm really liking the rifle. I think it's way cool that WA hasn't implemented the illogical magazine limits. Some states say, yeah you can carry an MSR (Modern Sporting Rifle), but you can only carry a 5 round mag. That is so lame. Don't they know that you can run into zombies anywhere, even out in the back 40, or out on the trail, and 25 in the mag could mean the difference between life and death...

It just looked kind of crazy to me out there. Lots of people. I suppose when you're the first left turn for a millon Seattleites there's bound to be a bunch of people out there. I thought in the Fall there would be even more. I guess we'll see.

Peace
