Wolf stalking buffalo calves in spirit lake
« on: May 20, 2013, 08:20:29 AM »
I went to drop a boat motor in spirit lake on friday. Heading north on highway 41 about 15 miles north of Spirit lake there was a field full of buffalo and alot of them were bearing young calves. 400-500 yrds away there was a wolf clearly stalking the herd. He was right out in the open, and it was the middle of the day.  :bdid:  This was right off the highway, Idahoans dont take very well to their stock being harassed. Im sure he wasnt the only wolf there.   He is lucky

Was this on the left hand side right past Blanchard?  I believe they have buffalo and fenced elk.  That area is very very close to the WA/ID border and I have heard multiple reports of the wolves being there..
