save the tree stand for deer, you want to cover some ground when your bear hunting or at least have a good vantage point to glass from :twocents:.  Bears are easy to spot from a long ways away (compared to a deer) they make noise, move bushes and it seems they are constantly on the move unless there head down in a berry patch

Nice stand   How much does it weigh?

That's the kind of stand I'm looking for. What brand is it?

The key to keeping that stand from getting stole is putting it far enough off the road anyone who finds it wont want to carry it out.  I have a ladder stand I will be putting in this year and It will take a minimum two trips and maybe three.  Anyone that finds it will probably think...."who the heck was dumb enough to carry this thing all the way out here".  No way it will get stolen...I hope.

Nice stand.

A chain and pad lock will also deter people from stealing it.
