Sea Lions
« on: May 21, 2013, 09:47:34 AM »
Down by our boat in Westport there were 80 sea lions on the dock. They are breaking off the electrical power boxes and water  for the boats. Yesterday we had a diver come to the boat and he would;nt get into the water to cut a line out of the wheel because they are becoming so aggressive. The port manager was down and said they already got a dog off the dock and have taken fish off of boats but he says they can't do anything. There were twenty laying beside our boat and what a mess they make we have to get on the boat from the front because they won't move. It's even worse in Astoria and it won't be long before one grabs a child if your mooring your boat to fish salmon in Westport check out the end of float 11.

Sea Wolves!

If they climb in your boat, they can capsize it.  Those things can weigh a lot.  800 pounds comes to mind.  When they would get too bad it would stink everything up...so the dock needed to be washed off.  Fire hose or pressure washer worked good.

The ones in my picture were sprayed off with a hose RIGHT before I started snapping the pics, you can see in the last picture they're just jumping back on. It lasted all of two seconds, the guys were trying to clean out and get into their boat. They are crazy out there, so many, so loud, so stinky lol.

The one picture is our boat the Allison marie. Funny thing was a guy was sleeping in a sleeping bag about 15 feet from those he must have been on something.

Lol that's kinda funny I snapped your boat ^_^.

Yea we were out there the last razor clam weekend and was trying out some crabbing from the docks.. Driving around through town we definitely spotted more than a few people who looked like they were on something >__<

I would think one of those full auto air soft guns that shoot those plasic biodegradeable pellets would work AWSOME!  :mgun:
